There's nothing better than the freshest fish, the greatest sushi chefs, a large variety of comfort soup options, and the best sizzling steak on the island. Try anything on the menu and you'll find an Isana twist on all your favorites or try something you never have and it will be your new favorite! The drinks at the bar are great too. And the family run, friendly vibe is like no other. Enjoy indeed.

Great happy hour to start. Fresh fish. Hamachi collar grilled not to be missed. Melt in your mouth Toro if available.

Everything was perfectly acceptable... Prices are high.. But the food was good .. Service was ok.. They forgot a roll we ordered.. And the spicy scallop roll was raw scallop inside with a drizzle of spicy sauce.. Mixing is apparently hard..

I was skeptical of this place at first. Prices seemed high. The atmosphere was great. Chad, our waiter, was awesome. Very friendly and quick. Got the rainbow roll, broke da mouth roll, and the spicy tuna roll. Sushi was some of the best we've had on island. Also ordered the Asian braised short ribs. Great flavor and very satisfying. Will be coming back here forsure!

My wife and I were staying in Kihei and this little jewel was right down the street with beautiful views of the ocean/sunset, and more importantly, incredible sushi! Bernardo, the head sous chef and his assistant Mark, along with our server Eldon, provided us some of the freshest, most delectible sushi creations we've ever experienced. I'd like to thank John and Christine for hiring these three amazing guys. Great service and delicious food! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cheers!!

What can we say? Absolutely not enough! Having lived on the island for quite some time now Camila we have had many opportunities to try sushi throughout the island. Isana has been our favor for many years. Now, they have remodeled and has absolutely gotten better ! The views are breathtaking with incredible sunsets and whales jumping right outside the window. The service is courteous and speedy. Absolutely recommend Isana for sushi

Incredible sushi in north Kihei. This place might not be on your radar, but it should be. Isana serves fresh caught daily local sushi, as well as flown in selections from Japan. The daily specials change based on what the owner (John Arabatzis) catches of the coast of the island of Maui. Decent beer, wine, and specialty cocktail selections are available. Happy hour daily from 3pm to 5pm, and late night Friday and Saturday nights from 10pm to midnight.The fresh caught Ono sashimi ($26) for eight large pieces was very good. Hamachi jalapeño was delicious ($23) and the ultimate roll, with shrimp tempura and spicy tuna, lived up to the bartender Nicole's recommendations ($35). Friendly staff, a modern decor, and killer ocean views make this a 'must-stop' while on the island of Maui.

Showed with no reservation. Seating was completely empty. Hostess said she would not seat us because it was a half hour till reservations started. We could sit at the bar. I was visiting and wanted to face my party of 4. We ordered from a very good selection of sushi rolls and quality fresh sashimi. Being quite high in price it would of been nice to have been seated in one of the 8 tables still as vacate when we left as when we arrived. New owners. Big learning curve. Couple drinks. One nigir, 5 rolls, $150.

Mark Anthony makes the best sushi! He even made a special roll I requested and it was amazing. I had a Li Hing Mui Margarita, which was also very good. Crystal was our server, who was very attentive and sweet. Highly recommend!!!

Had and afternoon lunch. Appetizer hamachi jalapeño ponzu sauce. Shutome catch of the day lemon, butter, caper sauce beyond belief. Beef stick’s to tender perfection. Salmon and hamachi Kama buggah was hella fresh. Beautiful location with a site to see.

We arrived at Isana only a few minutes before the end of happy hour and the wait staff hurried to take our order so we could get our amazing sushi for a great price. Everything was scrumptious. My brother is not a big sushi fan so he had the catch of the day. His meal was beautiful and very very tasty. You can’t go wrong at Isana.

Enjoyed the new menu and remodel of Isana. Their happy hour is on point... especially the sushi available. (Also, thank you for making that information available online!)Enjoyed the hamachi rolls and nigiri. Cocktails were slightly on the sweet/syrupy side but that wouldn’t keep me from coming back.

It's far from the same. Nice people great environment. But the food and the prices are both pretty bad, i gave it three times. Isana used to to traditional style Korean side dishes, these folks charge for it and you have to ask. Definitely not on the list of monthly go to's.

The sushi is good and fresh and the other dishes are well prepared and tasty. More expensive than other options on the island but the food lives up to the price. Service was good and the restaurant was clean.

Literally just had lunch for my Birthday with the girls. So incredibly good, service was amazing, friendly, ono food, it was beautiful for lunch. Cool amazing view. A definite gem for lunch. Next time dinner.

YUM!! Some of the best sushi we’ve had in a long time. Their happy hour menu is superb and service is great! They are open for dining again so go visit them!

This is my favorite place to go on dates with my wife. Have a few drinks, some pupus, and sushi. The fish is always fresh, never frozen, and caught that day. Their jalapeno hamachi is bomb, also you gotta try their oyster shooters, so ono.

Fresh fish, expert presentation, knowledgeable and upbeat staff, PLUS strong drinks?!? What's not to love? J.R. and Crystal especially rock, they made our visit even better. Definitely try this place!

Best kept secret on the island.Beautiful view. Comfortable interiors.Good parking. I'm not a sushi person and there was still enough goodies to choose from. My friends said it was the best they have had.Very fresh. Presentation was creative, yet not overdone.Service was impeccable.

I am visiting Kihei, Maui for a milestone event. I am allergic to fish, not shellfish, but regular fish, and a few other things. My husband wanted to have Sushi one night. I, of course, feel left out. I cannot have sushi. Same old story? NO!!We went to Isana Restaurant on S. Kihei rd in Kihei. Bernardo Oao Jr., the head sous chef, was amazing!! He not only helped me to feel included by making a shrimp and scallop roll for me, something totally made up on the spot and not on the menu, but he also had some great info. Telling me what I could eat, and couldn't. Trying to get me to expand my palate. He said he can accommodate ANYONE!! Allergies, gluten, Bernardo is your guy!! He was extremely detailed and knowledgeable of the fish in the area and what they have coming in fresh each day and how to prepare it. If you are looking for a restaurant that makes you feel extremely special, this is the place you want to go to!!

Wonderful service, my husband and I went 3 different times because the food was fantastic and the staff was incredible. The owner catches all the fish locally for the restaurant - very fresh. Atmosphere is great, plenty of things for everyone here - broad selection. We definitely recommend if anyone is seafood fans 👍
